quietlybuild

Websites for businesses where the sale still happens on a phone call.

I design, write and build the whole site, so a stranger trusts you enough to pick up the phone. One person does all of it, for one fixed price: US$7,500.

We talk on video before you pay anything.

The work

Live sites, and why each thing is where it is.

A licensed adviser in New Zealand and a hotel in Punjab, both live today: open them yourself. The red notes are mine. I don’t promise enquiries or rankings, and I have no before-and-after figures, so I show none.

quietlybuild began in 2026, and these are its first two client sites. There is no client yet in the UK, North America or Australia: the founding places are for the first three.

Who it serves

Visa applicants comparing advisers, often in a second language

A licensed adviser, up against unlicensed agents who promise outcomes. So her licence number sits near the top of the home page, beside her name, one tap from the public register, and nothing on the site promises an outcome.

“I was expecting to spend the whole time explaining what an adviser is not allowed to say. I did not have to. Aditya had read the rules before the first call, and the site he wrote puts my licence number where anyone can check it in one tap, rather than burying it in a footer. Twelve pages, eight working days, and he was a day early.

The one thing I would say to anyone else: he will ask you a lot of questions at the start, and the whole schedule depends on you answering them quickly.”

The Grand Ambassador

The business

A 25-room hotel, Phagwara, India

Who it serves

Guests who call or WhatsApp before they book

The Grand Ambassador’s home page on a laptop: the lobby, ‘Live like an Ambassador’, the booking bar, and the phone number and Book your stay in the header.
Live now thegrandambassador.com (opens in a new tab) Marked on the film: the phone number never scrolls away. Dates first, then the hotel’s own booking page. Six named spaces, a page each. Every room: Enquire or Book. The hotel’s own rooms, and no stock photographs.
  1. 1Lay out

The hotel’s home page, redrawn from the live site: the margins, where the words start, and every element given a place and a reason.

    1. The hotel’s own number, where a caller looks first.
    2. Book your stay, in the same place on every page.
    3. The first line says what it is: twenty-five rooms, 130 metres from Phagwara Junction.
    4. A pause button, for anyone who wants the slideshow to keep still.
  2. 2Build

Then the real page is built on those lines, and every box lands on the thing it measured. Fifteen pages, custom-coded, no page builder. Amulya Vashistha, who photographed the hotel, is family.

  3. 3Live

And this is it, running. Exactly as it is on the live site. Nothing changed for the film. The red notes are mine.

A room on the hotel’s site: the Twin Room, with Enquire, Book and View room under it.

Enquire writes the WhatsApp for them

Every room’s Enquire button opens WhatsApp with the room already named. Open it yourself (opens in a new tab)

Most bookings start with a phone call or a WhatsApp message, often from family abroad. So the site was built for the call, not against it: call, WhatsApp or the hotel’s own booking page, and every one of them direct.

“What I liked is that he came and saw the property first, and then wrote the site around what is actually here — the banquet hall, Bellers, the rooftop, the rooms. He did not use stock photographs. When I asked for changes he made them the same week. For any hotel owner in Punjab thinking about this, that is the part that matters.”

The price

US$7,500

The whole website: structure, words, design and build. One fixed price, agreed in writing before anything starts.

No hourly rate. Up to 12 pages, listed in your Site plan; an extra page is US$400, writing included. Most sites take six to nine weeks from the Site plan to launch, including your review time.

For comparison, a regional agency in the UK quotes £3,000–8,000 (Expertsure, August 2026), and the writing is often extra. Here every word is included. What a website costs, and why

You see each stage before you pay for the next.

  1. 0

Half an hour on video, before you pay anything: you see who you would be paying, and I hear how the business works. At the end I tell you whether I would build it.

If I can’t visit, I ask you to walk me round your premises on video first.

You have read the plan and want the site. I write the rest of the words and design it, for desktop and phone.

The terms, before you sign anything

The risks, answered

What if…

I hate the design?

You don’t pay the design payment: it comes only when you approve. What you have paid so far buys the Site plan and the words written so far, and you keep both, to take to someone else if you like. I’d rather lose the build than argue you into a design you don’t want.

You’re ill, or you disappear?

One person is one person, and that is a real risk. What I can do is make it recoverable. Your domain and every file are yours from the first day, and the site is plain HTML and CSS that any competent developer can pick up. If I cannot work for more than five working days in a row, I tell you the same day, and the dates move day for day.

You’re in India. What if it goes wrong?

Then what protects you is the order of the payments. You never pay for a stage before the one before it is in your hands: before you see a design you have paid US$3,000 (US$1,500 on a founding place), and every stage you have paid for is yours to keep. If the Site plan is late, the US$750 comes back in full. If I miss a date by more than 10 working days, you may end the agreement and pay nothing more.

I want to stop part-way?

Tell me in writing. You pay for the work done to date, and everything you have paid for is yours once that payment reaches me.

Who owns it at the end?

You do. When your final payment reaches me, I assign to you all rights in the finished website, including copyright. Your domain and every file are yours from the first day. The hosting goes into your name at launch.

The Site plan is late?

If it is not with you within 10 working days, the US$750 comes back in full.

A date slips because of me?

If I miss a date by more than 10 working days for reasons within my control, you may end the agreement, pay nothing more and keep everything done so far.

Aditya Vashistha

Hello, I’m Aditya. I read the rules your business works under and ask how your phone gets answered. I decide every word and check every line, and every site is custom-coded, with no page builder. Nothing goes live that you haven’t read.

The studio keeps fixed hours, about 19 hours a week, and takes one site at a time. It is a sole proprietorship registered for GST in India, with a number you can check. Nothing is subcontracted, except an Arabic translation, which a professional translator does.

Before we talk, hear how I think: a hotel’s site on a phone, in my own voice. About a minute and a half, with captions.
Exactly as it is on the live site. Nothing changed for the film.
Read the words

I’m Aditya, from quietlybuild. I built this site for The Grand Ambassador, a hotel in Phagwara, Punjab. Most of its bookings still start with a phone call.

First: the call isn’t a problem to remove. It’s how this hotel sells. So the call button is top right on every page, and Call, WhatsApp and Book stay under your thumb as you scroll. Guests decide at odd moments. They shouldn’t have to scroll back up.

Second: Enquire, on each room. It opens WhatsApp with the message already started: the room named, a line for dates, a line for guests. In Punjab, WhatsApp isn’t the backup. It’s the channel. A son in Canada, booking for his parents, fills in two blanks and sends.

The photographs were taken at the hotel. No stock.

Third: honest distances. The station is a short walk. The international airport is a long drive, and the site says so. Guests find out anyway. Admitting it makes the rest easier to believe.

If your business still sells on the phone, send me your website. I’ll read it on a phone, the way a stranger would, and send back three changes, in writing. Free. quietlybuild.in.

On screen: The Grand Ambassador’s home page on a phone. It shows the first screen, the call button, the Call, WhatsApp and Book bar, the Twin Room’s Enquire button, the photographs, the list of distances, and the footer’s “Site by quietlybuild”.

Check me before you pay

  1. Ask my clients. The New Zealand practice will tell you what it was like, and Sakshi’s licence is on New Zealand’s public register. For the hotel, I ask its owner first.

  2. Check the work is mine. The hotel’s live site credits the build in its footer.

  3. Check the registration. GSTIN 03BSHPV8130J1ZH, the number in the footer. The GST portal’s public search shows the business it belongs to and my legal name.

Before you payPayment details only ever come from aditya@growmintmedia.in, and they never change by email. If a message says they have, WhatsApp me before you pay. Why that address

My legal name, the address and the GST number are on every invoice. Read what you’d sign, including what happens if I let you down.

Questions

The ones I actually get.

I’ve never met you and you’re thousands of kilometres away. Why would I send you money?

You will have met me first: we talk on video before any money moves. Then the first payment is US$750, for a Site plan in writing within 10 working days: yours to keep, and credited in full to the build if you book it within six months. If it is not with you within 10 working days, the US$750 comes back in full. You read the plan before you book the build, and see the design before you pay for it. The New Zealand practice will tell you what it was like.

Who actually does the work?

I do: the structure, the words, the design and the code, one site at a time. I decide every word and check every line. Nothing is subcontracted, except an Arabic translation, which a professional translator does.

Has anyone paid US$7,500?

Not yet. My first two clients paid much less, as first clients. US$7,500 is the price for everyone from now on.

How long does it take, and what do you need from me?

Most sites take six to nine weeks from the Site plan to launch, including your review time. The Site plan comes within 10 working days. After that, the written agreement gives a date for each stage, and they are dates you can hold me to. They assume your answers reach me within three working days, and move day for day if they take longer. Every Friday, you get a short written note of what was done and what’s next. I need the call, answers to my questions, about 40 minutes walking me round on video if I can’t visit, and your corrections on the words. You don’t write copy or fill in a content form.

We already have a website. What happens to it, and to our email?

Your old site stays as it is until the day we switch, at the quietest time we can agree on, and you keep its plan until 30 days after launch, so we can switch back if anything goes wrong. Your email stays where it is: on the day, I change only the records that point your domain at the new site, and we test mail in and out.

Will people still find the pages they find today?

I list the addresses your old site has, from its sitemap, a crawl and, where you have it, Google’s record of your site. Each one that has a new page is sent on to it. The rest are listed for you before launch, so you decide what goes.

You can’t visit us. How will you know the place?

You walk me round it on a video call, and I ask what someone walking in for the first time would ask. I write your site from what I see. I take notes and a few still pictures of empty rooms for my own reference; the call itself isn’t recorded unless you say yes first.

When could you start?

Ask on the call. I give you a real start date there, and the Site plan starts once the US$750 has cleared.
